The Slide Project

I have some old slides that are from the mid to late 60's which are mostly from a 50 mile radius of where we live here in Stroud, Gloucestershire. They were taken by the late Peter Coleman and he used to live up the road from where we live now. He was one of the founding fathers of the Stonehouse Wheelers Cycling Club, of which I'm the current Secretary. He was a very keen cyclist as well as a photographer and he carried his camera with him often. We believe most of these slides were taken while out cycling around the country side.

My husband Peter and I are slowly going through these slides and trying to scan the most interesting ones. I'm picking out a few and trying to locate them and re-shoot from the same angle so that we can compare how things have changed over the years. I find this very fascinating and fun. I hope others do too.

We invite you to have a look through the slide galleries which are located here: PeterK's Picasa Web Albums We also invite you to see if you recognize any of the locations and to add any relevant information to the slides. There are quite a few that we have no idea of their locations or what they are. Your help will be much appreciated.

You'll find my efforts in these pages and maybe on my blog as well. You'll find my husbands efforts on his blog located here: chalkhill clan
